How do I solve problems when I’m stuck with interactive media design issues?

The way I solve problem when I’m stuck is by mostly looking at a websites that appeals to me and try to “mimic” or interpret into my own vision. But first I would ask myself “What’s the problem?” to figure out the problem that lies between me and the finish product(website), then I can continue on to solve each problem in order to have a thought out, well executed website. When I’m having trouble with making a website I would turn over to the templates I’ve already made to help me begin the structure of the site. Draw thumbnails of the layout of the site.The last thing for me is to ask questions and look around online to find useful information about CSS or anything that relates to that of nature.

Why did you choose this particular site? I chose this site because of it’s innovated interactive page. I hope to learn something this close to incorporate into my final portfolio website.

What specific aspects of the site do you find useful to your own design knowledge?  design concept is very imaginative and beautiful design of art work.

What features/concepts of the site do you intend to use in your own site design for this class? Interactive buttons and everything else will be kept simple and clean.

Why did you choose this particular site? His work inspires me to become a great illustrator. His website speaks out to his art work so it blends in with the website.

What specific aspects of the site do you find useful to your own design knowledge?  Navigation and design concept was thought very well and is user friendly so I didn’t get lost when navigation through it.

What features/concepts of the site do you intend to use in your own site design for this class? maybe blending my art work in the background.

Responce to Douglas Bowman’s Blog

I have done all the necessary things to come up and plan out a design I come up with. With the help of my instructors in AID (Art Institute of Dallas), they have show me the steps to be able to work and create a well thought out and creative design. Douglas’s steps to come up with a design is similar to what my instructors do to come up with there own concept and design. With that in mind I know that I came to the correct school and have the confidence to know that my work is well thought out and well design.
